Premise
What happens when a disgraced ex-beauty queen turns to her judge-y, estranged half-sister for support . . . and a job? Welcome Imogen, the newest – and roughest – standardized patient at Pincus College of Medicine! Standardized Patients, or SP’s, are actors for medical students who teach them communications skills. So fun! She’s ready to jump in, but swapping her evening gown for a hospital gown isn’t quite what she signed up. Her new boss of a sister seems determined to watch her fail. And her other boss, disaster-boy Jake, needs to get his awkward crush under control. Ugh, stepping outside her selfish bubble and thinking of others is, like, so much harder than she thought.
Format
Mis(s)Communication is a serialized show set in the Clinical Skills Department of Pincus College of Medicine, a bottom-of-the-barrel school for the doctors of tomorrow. Each three-to-five- minute episode builds on the previous, making the show innately bingeable, and the seasons move fast with five episodes each. The quick format allows for on-demand convenience and also creates the feeling of things rushing ahead, just like how our character’s lives are moments away from spinning out of control. Mis(s)Communication will be available on streaming platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo.
