Cynthia Granville
Director Cynthia Granville has specialized in new work throughout her career, and formed her production company, disOrienting Stage and Film, to help artists initiate their own projects, creating award-winning films, commercials, and music and promo videos. Most recently she directed, shot, and edited a series of training videos for a NY medical school with her team members Will Copeland and Molly Callahan, and she is excited to explore the fictional world of medical students and the standardized patients who love them in Mis(s)Communication. Cynthia’s work has played numerous film festivals including SAG NY Short Film Showcase, Big Apple, New Filmmakers NY, Columbia Gorge, Action on Film. The feature film Smoke Screen, which she produced, is available on Amazon Prime Video. Recent stage directing credits include WHORTICULTURE at Dixon Place and You Can’t Play Barbies When Someone Has Stolen Their Heads, an HB Studio Rehearsal Space Residency project.
